Database for scaned daily plots of Toyokawa Radio Polarimeters
Introduction
Photographs of time-series plots of solar radio waves (1, 2, 3.75, and 9.4 GHz) observed at the Nagoya University Aerospace Research Institute (Toyokawa City) from 1958 to 1978 has been stored in microfiche form. In order to avoid disappearring these data, we scaned the time-series plots in this microfiche and then publish them as a digital image database. These data are useful for estimating the scale, start time, microwave spectrum, and duration of solar flares that occurred before the 1980s, when solar X-ray monitoring observations have not been conducted by GOES.
